Dr. Scott T. Ream

I've been where you are. After 26½ years at Somerset Alliance Church — 17 as Senior Pastor — I know the weight of ministry leadership. The phone calls at 2 AM. The criticism that hits differently when it's aimed at your calling.

That experience drove me to spend a decade understanding why ministry leaders break and what can be done about it. My doctoral research became the foundation for Total Ministry Health — a framework now used by leaders across five continents.

Doctor of Ministry, Alliance Theological Seminary · 30+ years pastoral experience · ~100 doctoral research participants · 1,000+ subsequent assessment users · SE Regional Director, WPA District, C&MA · Volunteer Pastoral Care Coordinator, Alliance Missions (670+ missionaries) · Former adjunct faculty, ATS

Today, alongside my wife Missy, I serve as a pastoral care couple for field workers in Mongolia — a role we've held since 2018. Every assessment, every coaching conversation is driven by the conviction that no minister called by God should lose that calling to preventable burnout.

Longevity in ministry is never accidental — it grows from intentional rhythms, honest reflection, and the courage to keep growing. What stands out about Scott Ream is not just his endurance, but his willingness to keep listening and leaning into God's best.
